Going Green To Help Save The Planet

At Beekman Group, we take immense pride in our commitment to the planet and our relentless pursuit of environmentally friendly practices. As part of our ongoing Go Green initiatives, and building on our initial success with the Solar Farm installation at Dikhololo Resort,

we are thrilled to announce the installation of additional Solar Farms at three of our resorts, namely:

  • Cayley Mountain Resort: 1,240 sq. metre Solar Farm, producing ± 117.39 kWp of electricity.
  • Kiara Lodge: 1,593 sq. metre Solar Farm, producing ± 118.00 kWp of electricity.
  • The Kingdom Resort: 1,630 sq. metre Solar Farm, producing ± 140.18 kWp of electricity.

In addition to Solar Farms at these exceptional resorts, we have also installed solar panels at our very own Head Office, the Beekman House. The 333 solar panels installed at Head Office, producesapproximately 181.44kWp of electricity, and effortlessly powers the entire building on sunny days.

In total, these Solar Farms and the Solar Panels at Head Office are expected to generate over 1 million kilowatts of clean energy, reducing our carbon emissions, as a group, by an impressive 80%!

These groundbreaking developments mark yet another significant milestone in our journey towards a greener future. We believe that sustainability and luxury accommodations can coexist, and we strive to inspire others to contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet. Beekman Group is proud to lead the way in sustainable holiday experiences and we will continue to explore innovative ways to ensure a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
