Software Tester
Port Shepstone – KwaZulu Natal – South Africa
Key Performance Areas: Responsibilities include completing the tasks of test tool/environment authoring, test planning, test case creation, execution, debugging, & defect analysis/reporting. Improving efficiency through process improvements & adopting new test methodologies. Improving test effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant software testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Level) will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 or more years’ experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Sound knowledge of software testing principles, including integration, functional, and performance testing.
- Experience in test development, test planning, test execution, defect management, and test optimisation.
- Familiarity with testing standards, guidelines, methodologies, processes, and testing tools.
- Ability to take ownership of quality issues and collaborate effectively across teams to drive resolution.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working within the Scrum framework.
