Resort Procurement Specialist

Port Shepstone – KwaZulu Natal – South Africa

The Beekman Group is seeking a commercially astute and detail-oriented Resorts Procurement Specialist to take ownership of procurement across our Company portfolio, including Food & Beverage outlets, Body Bliss Day Spas as well as Head Office departments. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and high-quality sourcing across the Group, while supporting operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes across all resorts and selected Head Office departments
  • Source, negotiate, and secure competitive pricing, contracts, and service level agreements
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure service delivery and value optimisation
 
Operational Coordination
  • Forecast procurement requirements in collaboration with resort management
  • Coordinate bulk purchasing and distribution across multiple sites
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
 
Governance & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and legal requirements (including cross-border procurement)
  • Support implementation and optimisation of procurement systems and best practices
 
Strategic & Project Support
  • Assist with procurement planning for refurbishments and group projects
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and cost-saving initiatives
  • Contribute to sustainable and ethical sourcing practices
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement within the hospitality or resort environment
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management capability
  • Sound understanding of procurement processes, contracts, and cost management
  • High attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to operate in a multi-site, fast-paced environment
  • Commercial acumen and cost awareness
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • High level of accountability and integrity
