Junior HR Generalist

Port Shepstone – KwaZulu Natal – South Africa

This is an administration intensive, detail driven HR role, ideal for someone still in the early stage of their HR career who has a genuine passion for Human Resources, enjoys structure, and thrives in an environment where change is constant and deadlines matter.
 
You will provide operational support across multiple HR disciplines (specifically including employee relations), with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
 
Key Performance Areas:
  • Maintain, update, and organise employee files and HR records
  • Manage and archive HR documentation in line with statutory requirements
  • Assist with reporting (financial & statistical)
  • Conduct research and provide analytical feedback when required
  • Provide administrative and operational support across the HR function, including employee relations processes
 
Key Competencies & Personal Attributes:  
  • HR qualification or studying towards an HR qualification
  • Strong administrative capability with excellent attention to detail
  • Solid Excel skills and numerical proficiency
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and empathy
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn in a constantly evolving environment
 
Advantageous:
  • Previous HR administration experience
  • Exposure to South African labour legislation
  • Working knowledge of SAGE HRMS
