Reservations Support Consultant
Port Shepstone – KwaZulu Natal – South Africa
The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively coordinating all administrative work for the Reservations department, managing departmental queries, supporting operational systems and processes, and providing accurate weekly and monthly sales and departmental reporting.
Key Performance Areas:
- Provides accurate weekly and monthly departmental, operational reporting within established deadlines.
- Provides telephonic and administrative support for enquiries, bookings, group bookings, vouchers, cancellations, refunds and escalations.
- Assists the Reservations team with correspondence, points administration and support queries.
- Coordinates and maintains reservations administration processes and departmental SharePoint content.
- Processes payments, journals and other departmental administrative functions.
- Liaises with internal departments to resolve administrative, system and operational queries.
- Investigates, logs and follows up on system, website and operational issues.
- Conducts system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality, enhancements and issue resolutions.
- Adheres to departmental service levels, policies and business processes.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a travel services environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Above-average Microsoft Excel skills.
