HOW THE HOLIDAY CLUB WORKS www.theholidayclub.co.za | Points System Explained 30 Did you know that you can save your Points to access more holiday options? Maybe you want a longer holiday or you want to book a resort in-season that would normally have a higher Points value. You can also save your Points to go on a dream overseas vacation! Points not used in a particular year are automatically banked for use in the following year. Remember, Points do expire after three years so you need to keep an eye on that! To accumulate even more Points for that special holiday, Points can be used two years in advance, provided you pay the estimated annual Membership and Reservation Fees. You can accrue Points for two consecutive years but, by the end of the third year, you must have used at least the first year’s Points otherwise you will forfeit these Points. Remember, Points can only be banked or used if all your accounts are up to date. So for example, a Member retaining 20 Points a year could save towards a big, 100 Point dream holiday, simply by using all the accumulated, current and future Points at their disposal, such as illustrated in the table below. Once your membership is processed, you may want to use your Points in your first year of membership, or you may prefer to rather wait for the next year’s Points allocation. If you choose to use your Points in your first year, please contact the Collections Department on 0861 842 729. Theywill assist youwith the necessary fees and activate your membership upon payment. If we do not hear from you, your Points will only be allocated on your first Anniversary date. THC GO! Members have unique benefits during the first year. For more information, read page 54 . USING YOUR POINTS DURING YOUR FIRST YEAR OF MEMBERSHIP SAVE YOUR POINTS FOR MORE HOLIDAYS The Holiday Club holds accommodation inventory to which a Points value has been allocated, so that our Members, knowing howmany Points they have, can work out what they want to spend their Points on. The value of a week at any resort is determined by: • The season or time of year • The size of the apartment / unit • The diamond grading of the resort • The location, surroundings and position of the resort On page 43 under the heading “How Inventory Works” you will be shown how to work out the exact number of Points you need to confirm your holiday at a particular resort. Rather than paying for a holiday accommodation all at once, and then still being expected to fork out more for the added features that will make your holidaymemorable, The Holiday Club gives you flexibility and freedom in your vacation choices, through our innovative Holiday Points system. Purchasing a set value of Points annually, in affordable monthly instalments, allows you to avoid the often crippling financial burden of paying for a family holiday in one lump sum, and also opens you up to an exclusive world of savings, benefits and discounts that wouldn’t have otherwise been accessible to you. Turn to page 37 formore information on the various options available for paying your fees. AFFORDABLE HOLIDAYS WITHIN REACH HOLIDAY YOUR WAY HOW TO BOOK WITH POINTS With constant changes in family responsibilities and work demands, we understand that your holiday needs may differ from those you had last year. The Points system allows you to book your holiday based on the following factors: Where: You decide when and where you want to go on holiday - either locally or internationally. Length: You choose between a full week, weekend, or midweek stay. Size: You select the number of people travelling and the unit size/s required. Points are valid for three years. Once Points have reached their expiry date they will automatically expire and be removed from your account. To safeguard these Points you will need to make a reservation using the Points before they expire, or use them to book a Body Bliss Day Spa treatment, or purchase brandedmerchandise. Please note that Points expiring 90 days or less fromthe date of purchasemay not be used for the purchase of brandedmerchandise. Once your reservation is confirmed using Points that are due to expire, should you change the date of occupation or your choice of resort, or cancel your reservation after the expiry date of the Points, the Points can unfortunately not be reinstated.
